Accessing NAEIR Member's Choice Plus
For future access to NAEIR Member's Choice Plus after completing the initial signup process, go to NAEIR's web site at www.naeir.org, move your pointer to Members Only Login, and click the "Member's Choice Plus" link. This will take you to the Member's Choice Plus Login page.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SIGN UP FOR NAEIR MEMBER'S CHOICE PLUS AGAIN AFTER COMPLETING THE INITIAL SIGNUP PROCESS.
Requesting Items
When you request an item, the quantity entered is "reserved" for your organization. No other member is able to request your "reserved" quantity. You may even leave the web site, shut down your PC, and return to the Member's Choice Plus web pages later. The "reserved" items will still be assigned to your organization -- FOR A LIMITED TIME.
If you have not submitted your request by 11:00 p.m (Central Time) on the next business day following the day you requested the item, the requested items will be returned to available inventory. NAEIR Member's Choice Plus business days are defined as Monday through Friday -- no provisions are made to exclude holidays.
You may request multiple items in quantities up to the "available" limit displayed on the item's detail description page.
Completing Your Request
When you have finished selecting all of the items for your request, click on View/confirm your order ("NAEIR truck" icon) to go to the "Your Member's Choice Plus Selections" page and review the handling charges and estimated shippings charges.  You may remove individual items from your request by clicking the "X" at the left of the item detail line. To remove all of the items on your request, click on the "X" next to the "QTY" in the heading line.  When you are ready to confirm your request and submit it for processing, YOU MUST CLICK:

Your request will not be processed and the item(s) will not be shipped until you confirm your request.  Unconfirmed requests will eventually be deleted and the "reserved" quantities returned to available inventory (see "Requesting Items" above.)
When you confirm your request, it is assigned a Confirmation number.
Reviewing a Completed Request
To review a Request after it has been submitted (or if you are unsure that you have actually completed your request), click on the "Review a Request" link at the bottom of any web page on the NAEIR web site. This page has a "drop-down" box that allows you to review any of your previous requests by the Confirmation number.
"Bulk" Items
"Bulk" items, identified by the Must be shipped by Semi-Truck icon on the item detail page, are those items that cannot be shipped via Federal Express.  These items are either too large, too heavy, or both.  The member has two options for obtaining this type of item -- either pick it up at our Galesburg, IL warehouse or have it shipped using a commercial truck line carrier.  If the "ship" option is chosen, we select a carrier and calculate the actual freight charge, send an email with this infiormation back to the member, and allow the member to "accept" or "reject" the calculated freight charge before we actually ship the item.  This process is explained in detail below.
    NOTE:  On the left side of the "Bulk" item detail description page, there is a link to a window that contains the estimated freight charges for delivery of the item to twelve different cities in various parts of the country.
    Based on this, you may be able to determine if the potential cost of acquiring the item is worth pursuing further.

    To request the Bulk item for "pick up", simply enter the requested quantity, select the "PICKUP at NAEIR" option, and click on REQUEST NOW.  Next, click on the NAEIR truck icon to view your selection -- there should be no shipping charge for the item.  To confirm your request, you must click You must confirm your request by clicking here.  You will be notified by mail when the item is ready to be picked up.

    To request the Bulk item for shipment, simply enter the requested quantity, select the "SHIP by TRUCK" option, and click on "REQUEST NOW".  Next, click on the NAEIR Truck icon to view your selection -- the shipping charge will be zero at this point.  To send your request to our Traffic department for a freight charge quote, click You must confirm your request by clicking here.  Usually within four business hours, you will receive an email showing the actual freight cost to ship the item to you.  THE ITEM WILL NOT BE SHIPPED TO YOUR ORGANIZATION UNTIL YOU APPROVE THE FREIGHT COST.

    Click on the link in the email to login to our website and choose one of the three options you will see.

    The first option ">>accept - Ship Freight" means the freight charge is approved and the item will be shipped via commercial truck.  You will receive an invoice for the handling charge and the quoted freight charge.

    The second otion ">>accept - Accept Pick-up at NAEIR" means that the item is accepted, but you wish to now change your mind and pick up the item at our Galesburg, IL warehouse.  You will receive an invoice for only the handling charge and will be notified by mail when the item is ready for pickup.

    The third option">>reject - Reject" means that you no longer wish to request the item and it will be released back into our available inventory for another member to request.
It should be noted that because of our volume business with many major freight carriers, we are able to offer an attractive shipping rate to our members. This shipping cost plus the associated Administrative fee should still make the "Bulk" item a good bargain.
